1 fatally shot at LaSalle Street gas station

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide that was reported in the 1300 block of LaSalle Street in west Charlotte around 3:11 a.m. Monday.

Police responded to a call about shots fired. Officers found a male suffering from a gunshot wound at the Quick’n E-Z Marathon gas station just off Interstate 77. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.

The victim’s name is being withheld until his family is notified. Officers were on the scene Monday morning looking for witnesses.
