Woman dead, baby injured in Gastonia car accident
A Kings Mountain woman died of her injuries Monday following a car wreck in Gastonia, police said.
At 1:02 p.m. an 83-year-old Julius Dalpiaz and Samantha Thomas, 34, of Kings Mountain, collided at West Garrison Boulevard at South Vance Street. Sherman Thomas, 61, of Kings Mountain and an 11-month-old child were also in Samantha Thomas’ car, according to the Gastonia Police Department.
All survived except Samantha Thomas who died of her injuries at a hospital in Gastonia. Sherman Thomas had facial injuries and the baby had “possible injuiries,” Gastonia police said. Dalpiaz had “severe injuries,” police said.
