Sunny skies, mid-80s equal another nice day for Charlotte
With sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s, another gorgeous day is set for the Charlotte area Thursday.
Highs were in the mid- to high-60s Thursday morning, making for a cool, comfortable start to the day.
Friday also will be sunny, although the high could tick up a couple of degrees to 88 and clouds are likely to move in at night, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
But no rain is forecast either day, including for Friday night’s Carolina Panthers-New England Patriots preseason game at Bank of America Stadium. A comfortable low of 70 is expected Friday night.
The next chance for showers and thunderstorms is Saturday through Wednesday, as Canadian high pressure moves off the mid-Atlantic coast. Still, at 30 percent, the chance each day is low.
Highs are expected to climb to 89 Monday and Tuesday.
