Highs in the low 90s for Charlotte this week
Highs are expected to hover in the low 90s through the rest of the work week, before dropping to the low 80s Saturday as a greater chance of showers and thunderstorms moves into the Charlotte region.
Tuesday should be mostly sunny with a high of 90, while highs Wednesday and Thursday could climb a degree or two, then back to 90 on Friday.
The chance of rain will gradually increase, from 20 percent Wednesday and Thursday to 30 percent Friday, 40 percent Saturday and 30 percent Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
Labor Day should see partly sunny skies with a high near 85.
