Hot and muggy for Charlotte Wednesday

Expect hot and muggy conditions in the Charlotte region again Wednesday, with an expected high of 92 and a slight chance of isolated late-afternoon thunderstorms.

The normal high for this day of summer is 85.

Wednesday and Thursday will remain mostly sunny, before the chance of thunderstorms increases to 30 percent Friday and 40 percent Saturday.

Friday’s high is expected to drop to 90, Saturday’s to 83 and Sunday’s to 84, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.

Labor Day is forecast to be partly sunny with a more seasonal high of 85.
