Back-to-school shots, screenings offered at Charlotte events

The Junior League of Charlotte is sponsoring two “Big Shot Saturdays” to help students get the inoculations and health screenings they need for a new school year.

Free dental and vision screenings are also available at the two events, which run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This Saturday’s event is at the Mecklenburg Health Department, 249 Billingsley Road. On Sept. 19 the services will be offered at Berry Academy of Technology, 1430 Alleghany St.
