Sunny skies forecast for Charlotte all week
The Charlotte area is expected to remain sunny all week, with temperatures gradually rising again to the high 80s.
Tuesday is forecast to reach 81 and Wednesday 82, normal highs for this week of the year, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
With high pressure remaining over the area, temperatures are expected to climb to highs of 84 Thursday, 85 Friday and 87 Saturday.
A weak cold front will approach the area Sunday and stall through Monday, bringing the next chance of showers and thunderstorms from Sunday into early next week, according to the weather service.
The Charlotte area remains in a moderate drought, and this week’s forecast will do nothing to change that, with no chance of rain Tuesday and a slim 10 percent chance through Saturday.
