No rain is forecast this week, and highs will stay in the lower 80s Wednesday and Thursday before climbing to the high 80s by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
The region remains in a moderate drought, with rainfall about 7 inches below normal this year.
Rain chances will increase Sunday night and early Monday as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs are forecast to reach 84 Monday and 79 Tuesday.
