Charlotte traffic: Wreck blocking I-85 southbound lane near Billy Graham Parkway
A wreck is blocking the right lane of Interstate 85 southbound near Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte Thursday morning.
The wreck happened shortly before 9 a.m., and it could take up to an hour to clear the scene, state highway officials said.
Lanes are no longer blocked on I-77 southbound near Sunset Road and I-77 northbound near Sam Furr Road in Huntersville after wrecks.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to wrecks shortly before 9 a.m. in the 3300 block of East Independence Boulevard, the 3700 block of Brookshire Boulevard and the 14300 block of Albemarle Road. Injuries were reported in the Albemarle wreck.
Earlier Thursday, Medic took at least one person to the hospital after a car struck a convenience store at N.C. 51 and Carmel Road.
