Hot temperatures for Charlotte this weekend
Hot days are ahead for the Charlotte region before a cold front arrives early next week with a chance, finally, of rain.
Expected highs will be well above normal this weekend – 85 Friday, 87 Saturday and 88 Sunday – under mostly sunny skies. Normal highs are in the low 80s this time of the year.
The cold front is expected to arrive late Sunday, bringing with it a 30 percent chance of showers Monday and a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday night and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
Highs are forecast to dip to a more seasonal 80 Monday, 78 Tuesday, 79 Wednesday and 80 Thursday, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
