Charlotte flight diverted to Philadelphia after bird strikes plane windshield
A Charlotte flight to Connecticut had to divert to an airport in Philadelphia after the plane reportedly hit a bird, according to officials.
"The crew of American Airlines 1889, a Airbus A320, reported that a bird struck the aircraft's windshield tonight at 6:31 pm," FAA officials said.
The flight, which left Charlotte Douglas International Airport en route to Bradly International Airport in Connecticut diverted to Philadelphia International Airport and landed safely.
There were no reports of injuries.
The FAA said they are investigating the incident.
