Brixx hosting fundraiser for longtime server

Brixx Wood Fired Pizza is hosting a fundraiser at three of its locations Friday for Darcy Quan, 23, a longtime Brixx server who friends said was injured by a stray bullet while enjoying an evening out with her boyfriend at the NC Music Factory on Sept. 11.

Brixx will donate 10 percent of sales Friday at its Birkdale Village, 7th Street Station and Dilworth locations to Quan. She was listed in good condition at Carolinas Medical Center Friday morning.

By Friday, 381 people had donated $21,790 in nine days on the “Dollars for Darcy” Go Fund Me site established by her friends. Brixx wanted to join in that support, for someone “who is like family to us,” spokesman Tim Miner said.
