Gov. McCrory expected at uptown prayer event Saturday

Gov. Pat McCrory is expected to join an uptown Charlotte gathering for prayer, reconciliation and revival Saturday.

“The Response” is billed as a spiritual strategy for a nation at a crossroads. Organizers say visitors from around the country are expected to gather at the Charlotte Convention Center 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to pray and fast.

“There is hope for America,” said Response spokesman Doug Stinger. “It lies in heaven, and we will find it on our knees.” Observer staff
