Plan to be indoors this week as rain continues in the Charlotte area

Make plans to stay busy indoors this week, as last week’s clouds and rain will linger for much of this week.

The mild temperatures that we saw last week also are expected to stay with us. Monday’s high will be near 77 degrees, with a low around 68. Expect areas of drizzle with a 30 percent chance of showers during the day and a 40 percent chance Monday night.

Tuesday’s condition’s will be similar, with a high around 78 and a low around 68, according to the National Weather Service. The chance for showers increases to 50 percent, mainly after 2 p.m. The chance for rain will continue into the night, with showers and possibly thunderstorms moving through before 10 p.m. The chance for precipitation Tuesday night is about 60 percent.

There is a 50 percent chance for showers Wednesday, with a high near 78. The low should be around 62, accompanied by a 40 percent chance of showers.

Thursday’s forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of rain or showers during the day, and a 30 percent chance moving into the night, with a high near 71 and a low around 58.

We may see some clearing Friday, continuing into the weekend. The high on Friday and Saturday is expected to be near 70 with partly sunny skies and a 30 percent chance of showers Friday.
