Firefighters rescued an injured man from beneath a grate outside Two Wells Fargo Center in uptown Charlotte Wednesday morning.
The man was taken to a local trauma center shortly before 10:30 a.m., said Capt. Dennis Gist of the Charlotte Fire Department. Fifteen firefighters assisted at the scene.
The rescue took about a half hour, Gist said on the department’s Twitter account.
It was unclear how far the man was below ground or why he was there.
