Emergency crews have cleared a large tree limb that fell from a yard onto two vehicles on Commonwealth Avenue early Friday near Briar Creek Road.

The tree fell into the road about 4:30 a.m., and crews had it cleared by 7 a.m.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have responded to an injury wreck on eastbound Interstate 485 Outer Loop and to wrecks on High Ridge Road at Providence Road, on Little Rock Road at Tuckaseegee Road and on East Fifth Street at North Caswell Road.
