Traffic: Hit-and-run slows travel on I-485 south in northwest Charlotte

A hit-and-run collision has left a disabled vehicle on the road at the Interstate 485 south Outer Loop and Brookshire Boulevard.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police reported the collision in northwest Charlotte at 7:14 a.m.

Also:

▪ Expect delays on I-85 south at the I-77 south interchange. All lanes are open, but congestion is slowing traffic.

▪ Heavy morning congestion is slowing travel on I-77 north from Arrowood Road to Tyvola Road, according to NCDOT.

▪ Traffic is moving slowly on I-77 south on the approach to uptown. Heavy congestion was reported at 7:19 a.m. from LaSalle Street to the John Belk Freeway.
