More sunshine for Charlotte region on Wednesday
A second straight sunny day is expected for the Charlotte region on Wednesday, with a comfortable high of 80 degrees.
Thursday and Friday should also see lots of sun, with highs hitting 80 or 81, but clouds will roll in with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night.
The chance of rain will continue into Saturday, although the prospects are relatively small at 30 percent throughout the day and the start of Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Temperatures will fall again by Saturday, with the high that day expected to be in the low 70s.
The mercury will dip further on Sunday, when a high of 69 is forecast. Temperatures will rebound on Columbus Day, however, with a forecast high of 73 under sunny skies, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
Tuesday should be even better, with a high of 76 under more sunshine forecast.
