Samaritan’s Purse deploys to Columbia

Evangelist Franklin Graham’s nonprofit aid organization Samaritan’s Purse has deployed to Columbia to help flood victims.

The group said on its website a tractor-trailer with generators, tools and supplies arrived in South Carolina on Wednesday. The group’s disaster relief workers and Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains will be helping home owners in the flood-ravaged city.

Its host church and base of operations will be Shandon Baptist Church. A second truck will be sent to the state after waters further recede.
