Charlotte traffic: I-85 N reopens after pedestrian struck, killed
All lanes of Interstate 85 northbound between Graham Street and West Sugar Creek Road in Charlotte have reopened after a pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to cross the highway.
Police closed three of the four lanes to investigate the death and reopened the lanes by 6:45 a.m. Friday. The incident happened about 1 a.m.
At 8 a.m., a wreck was snarling traffic on outbound East Independence Boulevard near North Sharon Amity Road.
Another wreck was reported on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road at Rozzelles Ferry Road.
