Charlotte’s light rail Blue Line is running an abbreviated service Sunday, as it did Saturday, because of scheduled construction work. The trains are operating only between the I-485/South Boulevard station and the Scaleybark station, according to CATS, meaning that the line is not operating between the New Bern station and the Charlotte Transportation Center/Arena stations.

If you need to get to those areas, CATS bus service will be the way to go, and stations were scheduled to have signs directing you to the nearest bus stop (look for stops designated as “LYNX Connectors”). If you’re uptown, you can get to the LYNX Connector at Bay V on the Brevard Street side of the transportation center. Other uptown stations (including 7th Street) won’t be served by the Connectors. You can buy tickets at open LYNX stations; if you pay on the bus, you’ll need exact change.

CATS expected the Blue Line to be back to its regular schedule Monday morning. Info: charmeck.org/city/charlotte/cats/lynx/Pages/construction.aspx or 704-336-7433.
