Showers to give way to sunshine by Tuesday afternoon
Showers from Lake Norman to Charlotte early Tuesday should give way to sunshine by the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
Tuesday morning will remain cloudy, with some patchy fog, but the day will turn out to be splendid with a high of 76, forecasters said. That’s three degrees above normal for this week of the year.
The rest of the week should likewise remain sunny and pleasant, as a dry high pressure system dominates the weather.
The weather will cool as the week moves on, however. Highs are forecast at 71 Wednesday, 68 Thursday and 72 Friday, while Saturday will reach only 64 degrees, Sunday 58 and Monday 61.
Nightly lows will be in the 40s the rest of the week, before dipping to 38 on Sunday, all under sunny skies, according to the weather service.
