Leak of corrosive liquid forces Charlotte warehouse evacuation

A leak of a corrosive liquid forced the evacuation of a warehouse Friday in the 4200 block of Chesapeake Drive, off North Hoskins Road and Brookshire Boulevard.

Charlotte firefighters controlled the leak, and no injuries were reported.

Officials from the Environmental Protection Agency continued to monitor conditions at the warehouse Friday afternoon, Capt. Dennis Gist of the Charlotte Fire Department said.

The leak was reported shortly before 1 p.m.
