Charlotte traffic: Wrecks on I-77 Saturday afternoon

Congestion is expected to continue until after 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 77 southbound in Charlotte because of a wreck near the West Boulevard exit, state highway officials said.

A wreck on I-77 southbound at the Langtree Road exit in southern Iredell County closed the shoulder of the road.

The interstate was already experiencing its typical Saturday afternoon bumper-to-bumper traffic from Huntersville through Exit 33 in Mooresville.
