2 more sunny and warm days for Charlotte area

Two more sunny and warm days are ahead for the Charlotte region, with expected highs of 77 Thursday and 78 Friday. The normal high for those days is about 70 degrees.

A dry cold front will approach the Carolinas on Friday, bringing cooler temperatures for the weekend.

Highs are forecast to dip to a more seasonable 70 Saturday and 71 Sunday under partly cloudy skies.

Another front is expected to stall just north of the region Sunday, before a cool wedge of high pressure pushes into the area early in the work week, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.

Monday could reach only 66 degrees, Tuesday 63 and Wednesday 65.

The next chance of showers comes Tuesday night, although the chance is only 30 percent.

The chance of rain increases to 50 percent Wednesday.
