Charlotte traffic: Injury wreck blocks I-85 lane at I-485 near Gaston County
A wreck with injuries at 7:30 a.m. Friday is blocking the left lane of southbound Interstate 85, Exit 30, at I-485 in Charlotte, near Gaston County.
On I-77 northbound, meanwhile, a wreck shortly after 8 a.m. blocked the left lane about a mile south of Cornelius exit 28.
Shortly after 8 a.m, a wreck with injuries was finally cleared on Brookshire Boulevard at Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, Observer news partner WBTV reported.
The wreck happened at about 6:30 a.m., and police urged motorists to use Rozzelles Ferry Road to avoid the area.
Shortly before 8 a.m., police responded to wrecks in the 1100 block of South Boulevard and on Wilkinson Boulevard at southbound I-77.
At 7 a.m., police responded to wrecks on Westinghouse Boulevard at Carpet Street, on Albemarle Road at Lawyers Road, on South Stream Boulevard at West Tyvola Road and in the 1000 block of Seigle Avenue. No one was injured in those wrecks, police said.
