1 killed, 2 injured in Shelby wreck Monday evening

One person was killed and two were injured in a four-vehicle crash in Shelby on Monday.

The wreck happened at about 6:15 p.m. at U.S. 74 and Polkville Road. A vehicle on U.S. 74 went across the median and struck the three other vehicles, authorities said. The names of the person who died and the two who were injured have not been released.
