More rain on Wednesday, sunshine by Thursday

Rain is expected to persist in the Charlotte region on Wednesday, although a warm front is moving in and the high could reach 72.

A thunderstorm or two could appear during the day, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.

The chance of rain will slowly diminish, from 80 percent during the day to 60 percent Wednesday night, and sunshine is expected to return on Thursday.

Thursday could be even warmer, with the high reaching 74.

Cooler weather will then return, with highs expected to drop to 67 Friday, 65 Saturday and 66 Sunday.

Friday and Saturday should be sunny, with clouds moving in again Saturday night.

Sunday’s rain chances are forecast to increase from 30 percent in the morning to 40 percent at night.

Monday has a 50 percent chance of showers.

Temperatures, meanwhile, will continue to bounce up and down, with Monday expected to warm to 70 and Tuesday 72.
