Partly sunny skies, warm temperatures for Charlotte area on Thursday

Fog and a slight chance of rain will linger in the Charlotte region Thursday morning before gradually giving way to partly sunny skies and a balmy high of 73, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.

All sun is expected Friday, although temperatures will only reach an expected high of 67, as a cool, dry Canadian high pressure system settles in the region and stays through Saturday.

Saturday should remain mostly sunny, with a high of 65.

Another front is expected to return Gulf moisture to the area Sunday and Monday, with the chance of showers at 70 percent Sunday and 60 percent Monday.
