Hundreds lose power after car hits utility pole
Hundreds of customers were without power in Rowan County Saturday morning after a vehicle crashed into a power pole.
N.C. Highway Patrol Troopers said a driver went off the road and slammed into a power pole, causing it to slant. The collision happened around 1 a.m. on Old Concord Road and Yost Road in Salisbury.
Minor injuries were reported, but no one was taken to the hospital.
Power was restored to the 600 customers by 10:00 a.m.
