The Charlotte Rescue Mission is seeking 350 turkeys for Thanksgiving meals and food boxes.
“Our goal is to help as many as possible receive a hot meal and the hope of a new tomorrow from the troubles they are facing today,” said the Rev. Tony Marciano, mission executive director.
The mission needs turkeys from 12 to 20 pounds each. They need to be frozen, for health and safety reasons.
Donations can be dropped off at the mission, located at Cedar and West First streets and across from the Carolina Panthers practice fields. The turkey collection drive ends Nov. 20.
