An engineering trade group honored the creators of a new water supply plan for the Catawba River this week.
The North Carolina chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies recognized the Catawba-Wateree Water Management Group and HDR Engineering as an honors award winner Thursday night in Durham.
The plan, released in 2014, projects the region’s water supplies and needs for 50 years. The water management group, which consists of 18 municipal utilities and Duke Energy, sponsored the plan and HDR completed it.
