Rain to linger through Monday
The heaviest of rain may be headed out of the Charlotte region, though spotty showers are expected the rest of Monday.
Early morning commuters saw rain, from light to downright pouring, as they made their way to work Monday.
Standing water in roadways will become common through mid-morning.
Temperatures will be in the mid-40s early morning and will rise only into the low 50s. Low temperatures will linger throughout the week, with the a high of 69 predicted for Thursday, before dipping again.
Tuesday and Wednesday should be dry, with a chance of showers creeping in again on Thursday.
Lows of 33 to 39 degrees are expected Saturday and Sunday nights.
