The Rowan County Sheriff’s Department has charged three people in connection with two break-ins that occurred this month on Garrick Road in Salisbury. Two of the suspects were not in custody on Monday.

Joshua Lee Meece, 28, and John Christopher Meece, 23, were being sought on charges of felony breaking and entering. Joshua Meece also was charged with felony first-degree burglary, officials said.

The third suspect, Miranda Gail Waggoner, 22, was arrested Monday and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond, officials said. She was charged with felony breaking and entering.

An 82-year-old woman told authorities that shortly before midnight Friday she was awakened when someone broke into the front door of her home in the 1000 block of Garrick Road. The woman hid in her bathroom, police said, while the suspect took a television from the home.

Sheriff’s detectives linked the break-in to a similar one in the 1400 block of Garrick Road, officials said.

The Meece brothers were at large Monday, and both men were added to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Most Wanted List, officials said.

Anyone with information about the two men is asked to contact Lt. Chad Moose 704-216-8687 or Detective Rodney Mahaley 704-216-8711.
