A resident of a home in Huntersville was hospitalized early Monday and two others from the same address have been displaced after a kitchen fire broke out and spread to other areas.
A police officer also was treated for smoke inhalation as a result of the blaze on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.
Firefighters from Huntersville and Long Creek helped to control the fire, which was reported around 12:30 a.m., according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
