Partly sunny and mild in Charlotte on Tuesday
Tuesday should remain partly sunny and mild for this time of the year, with a high of 64 expected in the Charlotte region.
But have an umbrella handy Wednesday, when showers roll into the area and could be heavy at times, especially at night, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
The chance of showers and thunderstorms stands at 60 percent during the day Wednesday and 100 percent at night, with three-quarters to an inch of rain possible after dark.
Southeast winds of 8 to 14 mph are possible Wednesday night, with gusts as high as 21 mph, according to the weather service.
Showers and thunderstorms will likely continue Thursday morning, before the sun returns and a high of 70 is expected by afternoon. The normal high for this week of the year is 62.
Friday and Saturday should be sunny, but they also will be far cooler, with respective highs of 59 and 54. Lows early Friday and early Saturday are forecast to be 37 and 34.
Sunday will be even colder, with a high of only 49 expected and a low of 34.
Monday’s temperatures will rebound slightly to a high of 52, according to the weather service.
