Police: 3 Mint Hill students rob classmate after showing handgun

Mint Hill police are looking for a Rocky River High School student who, along with two other students, is accused of robbing a classmate in a hallway after showing a handgun.

The victim told investigators he was walking down a hallway when three other students surrounded him shortly after 2 p.m. Monday. One of the students showed a handgun and the three demanded money.

As the three walked away with the victim’s wallet, they divided up the money that had been inside.

The robbery was captured on video, which helped investigators identify the suspects.

Police were searching Tuesday for Brandon Roberson, 16. He faces charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and possession of a weapon on school property, police said.

A 15-year-old has been charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and possession of a weapon on school property. The teen’s name has not been released.

A third teen, Moises Hernandez, 17, is charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
