Thanksgiving Day closings in the Charlotte region

While many retail stores will be open to welcome the public on Thanksgiving Day, various other places will be closed, including these:

▪ Federal offices: Closed.

▪ N.C., S.C. state offices: Closed Thursday-Friday.

▪ Charlotte city offices: Closed.

▪ Mecklenburg County offices: Closed.

▪ Mecklenburg County Courts: Closed Thursday-Friday.

▪ Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools: Closed Wednesday-Friday.

▪ Charlotte Mecklenburg Library branches: Closed.

▪ Banks: Closed.

▪ Buses, light rail: Open, operating on the Sunday schedule.

▪ Compost Central: Closed.

▪ Mecklenburg recycling centers: Closed Thursday-Friday.

▪ Garbage pickup: No collection on Thanksgiving. Thursday customers will receive service on Friday, Friday customers will receive service on Saturday.

▪ Mecklenburg ABC stores: Closed.

▪ FedEx: Closed. FedEx Custom Critical available. FedEx Freight closed Friday.

▪ UPS: Closed. UPS Express Critical available.

▪ U.S. Postal Service: Closed.
