Dense fog advisory for Charlotte area

A dense fog advisory is in effect for the Charlotte region until 10 a.m.

Visibility is a quarter-mile or less along Interstate 77, and on I-85 from Spartanburg to the Charlotte metro area.

Slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Otherwise, Wednesday will be mostly cloudy but gradually give way to sunshine and a high of 61, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday should also be mostly sunny, with respective highs of 64, 69 and 71, according to the weather service.

Sunday could reach an un-December-like 70 degrees, although the day will be mostly cloudy.

A 50 percent chance of showers is expected Sunday night, well after the Carolina Panthers game Sunday afternoon at Bank of America Stadium.

Monday also has a 50 percent chance of rain, with a high of 63. Tuesday should be mostly sunny, with a high of 60, according to the weather service.
