Charlotte traffic: Fog advisory means slow down
A dense fog advisory is in effect for the Charlotte region until 10 a.m.
Visibility is a quarter-mile or less along Interstate 77, and on I-85 from Spartanburg to the Charlotte metro area.
Slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
At 8:45 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are at injury wrecks on East Arrowood Road at Nations Ford Road, on Ballantyne Commons Parkway at Dowington Drive and on Peaceful Glen Road at Gentle Breeze Drive in Steele Creek.
I-77 motorists heading south into South Carolina should be prepared for delays because of work to repair a hole on the bridge over the Catawba River. The work could last until mid-afternoon, according to WBTV, the Observer’s media partner.
