Charlotte traffic: Wreck closes 3 lanes on I-85 southbound near Freedom Drive
A wreck has closed three lanes of Interstate 85 southbound near Freedom Drive on Thursday morning.
The wreck happened about 8 a.m., and it could take until 9 a.m. to clear the scene, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The wreck blocked the right, right center and left center lanes.
An earlier wreck jammed I-85 southbound in Gaston County.
A FedEx truck with two trailers jackknifed and blocked three lanes initially between Exit 27, N.C. 273-Beatty Drive, and Exit 28, the weigh station.
The ramp lane to Exit 27 also was blocked.
