Reminder: Trash pickup early for Christmas week
Garbage will be collected a day early this week in Charlotte, the city reminded residents.
A special collection day was held Saturday to pick up Monday’s garbage, but only 20 percent of residents left their containers out.
This week, crews will pick up garbage one day earlier than the normal schedule. Their work week will end on Thursday, when they collect the trash normally done on Friday.
A normal schedule will resume next Monday. Garbage will be collected as usual on New Year’s Day.
