Traffic should be lighter than the norm on a Monday, with many people taking off days during Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

At 8:04 a.m., accident in roadway at West Fifth Street and North Pine Street.

North Charlotte

At 8:32 a.m., accident in roadway at 8247 Mallard Creek Road.

At 8:56 a.m. accident with personal injury at West W.T. HARRIS Boulevard and Hankins Road.

East Charlotte

At 8:51 a.m. accident at 1301 Morningside Drive.

At 8:12 a.m., road blockage reported at 7039 E. Independence Blvd.

At 7:47 a.m. accident in roadway at North Caldwell and Belmont Avenue.

At 7:40 a.m., accident with injury at Monroe Road and Vista Drive.

At 7:08 a.m., a traffic light malfunction was reported at Old Statesville Road and Eastfield Road.

South Charlotte

At 8:56 a.m. accident in roadway at South Boulevard and Tiffani Lane.

At 8:48 a.m. accident reported in roadway at South Boulevard and East Boulevard intersection.

At 8:46 a.m. accident with injury at 7401 South Boulevard.

At 8:42 a.m. accident with injury at intersection of South Boulevard and Archdale Drive.

At 8:40 a.m. accident in roadway with property damage, 7400 South Blvdoulevard.

At 8:02 a.m., accident reported at 5108 South Blvd.

At 8:05 a.m. road blockage reported at 6400 Old Pineville Road.

At 3:39 a.m., hit-and-run investigation northbound Interstate 85 at northbound Interstate 485 intersection.
