Federal offices: Closed Friday.

N.C., S.C. state offices: Closed Friday.

Charlotte city offices: Closed Friday.

Mecklenburg County offices: Closed Friday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools: No classes until Jan. 4.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library branches: Close at 5 p.m. Thursday; closed Friday.

Banks: Locations may close early Thursday; closed Friday.

Buses, light rail: On Wednesday, the Lynx Blue Line will operate additional service before and after the Belk Bowl. On Thursday, buses and trains will operate on regular schedules, and the Lynx Blue Line will operate additional service for First Night activities. On Friday, buses and trains will operate on their Sunday schedules. Normal operating schedules resume Saturday.

Garbage pickup: Regular schedule.

Mecklenburg ABC stores: Close at 9 p.m. Thursday; closed Friday.

FedEx: Closed Friday. FedEx Custom Critical available.

UPS: Closed Friday. UPS Express Critical available.

U.S. Postal Service: Closed Friday.
