12,000 gallons of sewage spills into Mallard Creek
A broken pipe caused at least 12,000 gallons of sewage to spill into Mallard Creek on Friday, Charlotte Water spokesman Cam Coley said.
The pipe broke in the 9200 block of Emerald Cove Drive, off J.W. Clay Boulevard in the University City area.
Mallard Creek is in the Yadkin Pee Dee River Watershed.
