Charlotte traffic: Wreck cleared on I-85 northbound in Gaston County

A wreck that blocked two of three lanes on Interstate 85 northbound in Gaston County has been cleared, the state Department of Transportation reported shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

The wreck happened at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday near McAdenville Road, Exit 23.

A traffic incident has closed the right lanes on Interstate 77 northbound at the Gold Hill Road exit in South Carolina, WBTV reported.

A wreck also has closed a lane of inbound Brookshire Boulevard at I-85 in Charlotte.

CityLynx Gold Line, meanwhile, is temporarily out of service, the Charlotte Area Transit System said on its Twitter account Wednesday morning. “We are working to resume operation and apologize for the inconvenience,” CATS tweeted. No reason was immediately given for the line being out of service.
