Charlotte traffic: Wreck closes 2 lanes on I-77 northbound at Brookshire Freeway

A wreck has closed two of the four lanes on Interstate 77 northbound at the Brookshire Freeway.

The left and left-center lanes are blocked.

The wreck happened at about 8:50 a.m.

Also Friday morning, all three lanes were temporarily blocked on Interstate 85 southbound in Gastonia after unrelated incidents at separate exits.

Debris blocked two of the three lanes at one exit, and crews had to close all of the lanes at another exit to sweep glass off the highway. The exits were at U.S. 321 and N.C. 274.

The situations were expected to be cleared by 9 a.m., although backups will remain.
