Sunshine and mild temperatures to continue through Thursday
Sunny skies and chilly nights are expected through most of the week, with high temperatures zig-zagging between the 40s and 50s.
The chance for showers returns Thursday night and continues through the weekend, when the Carolina Panthers will face the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL playoffs on Sunday.
Monday’s high is expected to be near 45, with the low dropping to around 28, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for a windy, warmer day, with a high near 50 degrees and gusts as high as 23 miles per hour. The low should be around 25.
The high on Wednesday is expected to fall back to about 43, with wind gusts calmed to about 6 miles per hour and a low around 26.
Fifty degrees is the forecast for Thursday’s high and a low around 32.
There is a 40 percent chance for showers on Friday night and on Saturday. The high both days is expected to be in the low 50s with lows in the high 30s.
On Sunday, game day for the Panthers, the forecast calls for a partly cloudy sky, a 30 percent chance of showers and a high near 50.
