Hit-and-run wreck may slow travel on Eastway Drive
Officers are on the scene of a hit-and-run collision on Eastway Drive that has left at least one person, possibly a pedestrian, injured.
The incident was reported in the 1500 block of Eastway, near Shamrock Drive, at 7:59 a.m. by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Investigators were on the scene.
Also:
▪ A disabled vehicle has been reported on the road at W.T. Harris Boulevard and Research Drive in northeast Charlotte. The report came in at 7:17 a.m. from CMPD.
▪ A report of a disabled vehicle at the John Belk Freeway and East Stonewall Street uptown was made at 7:14 a.m.
▪ A vehicle was blocking at least one lane in the 4300 block of Providence Road, near Fairview/Sardis Road. The report was made to CMPD at 7:11 a.m.
