An ambulance with its lights flashing and its siren blaring was struck on Sunday on Independence Boulevard as it passed through the intersection at North Sharon Amity Road.
The impact caused the ambulance to hit an SUV that was stopped at a red light, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
The collision in east Charlotte happened around 11:30 p.m. Three people, including two Medic first responders, were taken to the hospital.
